Military Services

r has a big effect on everyone. Most people are in need of mental health relief after experiencing war. Military service men and women function better right away and in the long run, if they have effective debrief and help with grief and anxiety as soon as possible.

War is often seen as a short lived event, but in reality, it is long term, inflicting significant impact on individuals and families. Triage and treatment must take place physically and mentally. Traumatic events change lives. It can be a well managed and effective change handled with care and compassion.

World Community Chaplains provide pastoral care, assess urgent physical and mental health needs and offer effective relief and resources. The goal is to promote individual and community progress and limit negative, post-trauma effects, PTSD, (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).

Under the care of WCC, each person receives personal evaluation and a treatment plan to help relieve symptoms of PTSD. With help, returning military service men and women can put memories and priorities back in order.

Military families who have a service member overseas are also going through increasing stress and are in need of relief, respite and support.

An effective tool for limiting PTSD is the 3-day seminar, "Moving On," formatted especially for military men and women returning from war. This is a good opportunity to minimize the negative effects of PTSD.

n support of military men and women and their families,
Community Chaplains provide trauma management, rehabilitation and life integration skills, as well as important medical and social resources. Some returning soldiers need help with food, work or basic medical care and others require rehabilitation, medical equipment and retraining. What they have in common is that most of them are suffering from PTSD.

The Military Memorial contains the names of those lost.

The Military Memorial Album contains photos and memories of loved ones lost. A full page highlights their lives.
